JCR Planning is delighted to announce that full planning permission has been granted to Bro Myrddin Housing Association to re-develop a prime brownfield site in the centre of Carmarthen.
The former commercial garage and redundant dwellings at Priory Street are to be demolished and replaced by 27 three-storey flats and 10 linked houses over a courtyard setting. The planning application proved challenging given that the site lies over Roman remains, and with the development required to complement the character of the town’s Conservation Area.
The scheme will provide a range of one and two bedroomed accommodation providing social rented units to meet an overriding housing need with in Carmarthen town centre.
